Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10/6/2025
This Privacy Policy explains how SkyntCo LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our websites, applications, and online services, including SkyntCo Journal, EmailResponder™, and any related products (collectively, the “Service”). This Policy applies to visitors, registered users, and subscribers across all SkyntCo platforms.
What We Collect
- Account information (e.g., name, email) from our authentication provider when you sign in to our SaaS tools or register for newsletters or contributions on SkyntCo Journal.
- Email data you authorize when connecting a provider (e.g., Gmail™): message metadata (sender, recipient, subject, timestamps) and message content only as needed to generate a draft reply that remains under your control.
- Billing and contribution information processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Newsletter and engagement data (sign-ups, open rates, clicks) used to manage reader subscriptions and engagement with SkyntCo Journal.
- Telemetry and logs (device/browser info, performance data, event logs) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies and analytics for basic site functionality, remembering preferences, and aggregated traffic insights. SkyntCo Journal may also display Google-served ads or contribution CTAs, which use cookies as described in Google’s own privacy documentation.
How We Use It
- To provide and personalize the Service (e.g., drafting email replies or delivering articles).
- To process payments, contributions, or newsletter subscriptions.
- To communicate about your account, billing, and product updates.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- To improve features, analyze usage trends, and enhance quality.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (e.g., secure cloud hosting, analytics providers, Stripe for billing) and as required by law. We remain responsible for their handling of your data consistent with this Policy.
Data Protection & Security
- Encryption in transit & at rest: All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS; stored data is encrypted at rest.
- Least-privilege access: Role-based and limited to authorized personnel for support or security purposes.
- Segregation & secrets management: OAuth tokens, keys, and application secrets are stored securely and separately from user data.
- Monitoring & logging: We log authentication, access, and configuration changes to detect misuse.
- Secure development: All deployments use controlled CI/CD with security review and dependency monitoring.
- Backups & resilience: Encrypted backups and redundancy support continuity and recovery.
Data Minimization & Retention
- We process email content ephemerally to generate drafts and avoid persisting message bodies unless you choose to save templates or examples.
- OAuth tokens are stored securely and can be revoked anytime from your Google™ Account → Security → Third-party access.
- Logs exclude message content wherever possible. Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations, then deleted securely.
Your Choices & Rights
- Disconnect provider access at any time (e.g., via Google™ Account Security).
- Manage newsletter preferences or unsubscribe from SkyntCo Journal communications using the link in each email.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@skyntco.com. We will honor requests except where retention is required by law or necessary for Service protection.
- For privacy-specific questions, contact privacy@skyntco.com.
Incident Response
We maintain an incident response process. If we become aware of unauthorized access affecting your data, we will investigate, mitigate, and notify affected users and regulators as required.
Compliance with Google™ API Services
Our use of information received from Google™ APIs will adhere to the Google™ API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only access, use, store, and share Google™ user data to provide or improve user-facing features of EmailResponder™, and we never transfer Google™ user data to third parties except as required to provide the Service or comply with law.
Third-Party Links & Integrations
Our sites and apps may include links or integrations with third-party services (e.g., social networks, embedded media, analytics). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies before interacting.
Children’s Data
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Material updates will be communicated through the Service or by email when appropriate.
